“Jon is a phenomenal servant leader who expresses concern for his fellow man. He’s a team player who holds himself accountable when working to complete missions; and he does it flawlessly. A natural problem solver, Jon dedicates himself to connecting those in his path with resources they may need in order to be successful. H. Courtney Hinton
“I have known Jon for about eight years, for the first couple of years in a professional capacity as his leadership coach and since as a close friend. I appreciate Jon’s wit, his wisdom, his character and his ethic of service to his community. I have witnessed Jon as he has navigated through professional challenges, successes and setbacks, and as he has taken on new roles of husband, father, church and non-profit leader. He continues to bring all of himself to each of his endeavors and to show an openness to feedback; which means that at each juncture, he proves to be quite effective while developing new capabilities for whatever lies next. I look forward to seeing what mountains he will climb as he continues his journey.”

My Spotlighted Charity
Pennytown, Mo.
The Pennytown Freewill Baptist Church, first constructed in 1926, is now the last remaining building on the sixty-four acres once known as Pennytown. A modest, one-room place of worship, the Church was one of many structures which made up the small town, including homes, businesses, and a school. In 1988, the church was saved from eventual disintegration largely due to the efforts of Josephine R. Lawrence, a former resident of Pennytown. Mrs. Lawrence’s dream to renovate the church was realized due to many gifts and many hours of service provided by friends of Pennytown from across the country. Today, the church is cared for by members of the Friends of Pennytown Historic Site and is continually being improved by generous gifts of money, craft, and labor.
